The gifts [God] gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NRSV)

is the Connecticut chapter of the Association of United Church Educators, a diverse group of educators in the United Church of Christ who recognize that strengthening programs of Christian education and faith formation is essential to the vitality of our churches in the 21st century. To that end, CAUCE offers a meeting place for all interested people in the state of Connecticut to come together for support, training, networking and advocacy.
A highlight of CAUCE’s work is an annual seminar, including keynote speaker and workshops, addressing a current topic of interest to educators. This annual gathering is a great opportunity to share ideas and support with other Christian educators.
Each region in the Connecticut Conference is represented on the Coordinating Committee by a Christian educator or pastor who communicates with Christian educators in their association. See the CAUCE flyer for current listing of representatives.
All active Christian educators, youth workers, and clergy in Connecticut are members of CAUCE by virtue of their call or profession. We invite church school teachers, superintendents, Christian Education Board members and others dedicated to Christian education to become active members as well. A voluntary annual contribution of $15 will help promote our work.
